And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
❧ Many who have joined so far have either had issues getting into the map itself or have troubles with downloading. Due to this, I was considering just making a new map in general, since the "fix" didn't really fix it at all for some. If I were to change even more, it would be too different to rely on dependantly when people have the more detailed map and others do not. So with these factors in mind, I've decided that a new map in general will be needed. Feel free to share your opinions what you would like to be added, and don't be afraid to share your ideas!

New Map?

The map works/ed just fine for me, until I installed some new maps that made some objects disappear. I think that the reason is that I have some .fho files in my exports that have the exact same name the Serendipity's map has, but a different content/information. If I won't have the different .fho files in there, I believe that the map will work without any problems. Maybe renaming the object groups (/and objects themselves) to something uncommon/original?
Having more meshes in a map might cause the map to crash, but I believe that Serendipity has any weather/sky file. Perhaps, players, that have a problem with going into the map, should delete the weather/sky file? Or how about writing down .fho files, that contain less-important meshes (grass, prey, etc.), so that players would be able to delete these .fho from their exports, so the map would have less meshes, thus should not crash.
I'm fine with both options though. However, would not it be such a large jump/difference for the roleplay itself?

I've considered renaming object groups, but that would take quite a bit of time considering the great amount I have--nevertheless, I'll try anyway. There's just so many objects in each group, it's difficult to be able to do such a thing. And no, in any sense it won't make a difference to any roleplaying aspect, we will just play along as though it were the original map all along. We do have a plot in mind for map switching, but that isn't until much later. It all depends on how things play out.
