Absolutely NO STRANGERS are allowed in the map. If you want your friend seeing the map, WARN. STAFF. FIRST. This map is NOT public, it was specifically made for this rp. ASK YOUR LEADER FOR THE MAP PASSWORD.
From now on, when strangers are spotted in the map, they will be moved to the "Warned Members" thread.
Do note you will be asked a few select questions about the rules before the password is given to you, just to ensure the rules have been read.

General Rules
1. No power-playing or god-modding.
2. Please try to be as literate as possible while in character; however, OOC chatter is an exception.
3. Try your best to follow the warrior code, unless breaking it serves RP purposes.
4. Clan cats cannot wear items, unless it is a mane, or another logical item. (such as larger teeth)
5. No kits may leave the camp, as it causes too many issues.
6. Leaders, deputies, and senior warriors can assign dawn and dusk patrols.
7. Rogues and loners may not randomly drop by a Clan's camp. Ask the Clan's deputy or leader.
8. No racial insults -- not even in a joking manner! You never know how another person will take it. Words do hurt!
9. In order to kill off one of your clan-cats, you must have permission from your leader. You need to also have had your character for at least a week. Meaning seven days of active rp in-game.
10. Character limit: 3 Clan cats (warriors, apprentice, Queen etc) + ONE free spot for an elder and 1 Outsider (Loner or rogue). BUT you must be able to be active on all of them. If you are not capable of doing this, an admin can tell you to delete your character to an amount you can keep active!
11. Listen to your leader. If they are stepping out of line, contact a mod or admin.
12. If you're unable to attend a gathering and hold a high rank (i.e., you are a deputy, leader, medicine cat, etc.) then make sure that the Clan's admin or global mod knows!
13. Your Clan cat cannot know every herb in the medicine cat dictionary unless they are a medicine cat or medicine cat's apprentice; however, if there is already an apprentice, there may be a 'helper' who knows some information.
14. The maximum number of kits a queen may bear is five.
15. Swearing is allowed; however, please be mature about it.
16. Forbidden love is allowed with the leaders' and admin's consent. However, forbidden is frowned upon among high ranks and shouldn't happen often. ALL admins/leaders must agree in order for that type of forbidden love to be plotted and occur.
17. Character hopping is allowed! Please pick characters you like to play, and don't switch characters often. It's not fun to the leaders and other cats in the clan if cats "disappear" out of no where after a short while!
18. If you want your character to kill another person's character, make sure the other character's owner has expressed consent.
19. Rape is not allowed.
20. If you wish to RP mating, please do it in a party or whisper chat.
21. No mate begging.
22. Do not bombard the medicine cat's den without permission.
23. The clan's leader decides how many warriors come along to the gathering. The deputy, medicine cat, and medicine cat's apprentice can always go!
24. Apprentices may have crushes, but cannot have mates or kits.
25. Please do not complain about lag in the map constantly or the way the map takes a long time to download.
26. There will be NO discrimination against any religion, sexual orientation, race, drug use, etc. We respect each other on ALL aspects!
27. There is to be no OOC to IC, or IC to OOC. What happens ICly stays IC, and what happens OOCly stays OOC.
28. If there is a discussion relating to sensitive topics such as rape, drug abuse, drug use, or other triggering things (including death in general), and people seem uncomfortable and ask for it to stop, please stop what you are talking about. Whether it be a discussion that just came up or not, we respect each others feelings and emotional state. We don't want anyone feeling unsafe in the rp.
As an addition to this rule, rape is a strictly forbidden subject, as is family deaths. Members are uncomfortable with these topics, so we ask you avoid it at all times.
29. Activity is a must! Getting online for five minutes and then hopping off does NOT constitute for being active. Also, please please please try to chat less and rp more. Whether it be someone just going out without permission or trouble, make it interesting!
Aging Rules
EVERY CAT THAT IS NOT A KIT/APPRENTICE AGES ONE MOON EVERY ONE WEEK
This means that every Sunday the cat ages one moon!
Kits: Your character will remain a kit for twelve real life days (2 days = 1 moon). Your character may open their eyes after the first day.
Apprentices: Your character must have at least seven training sessions within 30 real life days (5 days = 1 moon). These days do not have to be consecutive.
Your character can become a warrior if 12 moons or older!
Warrior: After becoming a warrior, your character will sit vigil for one Feral Heart day.
Senior Warrior: At 90 moons, your character can retire to the rank of an Elder; however, this occurs only if your character is not advancing to become a deputy. Senior warriors have the ability to organize dawn and dusk patrols.
Elder: Your character may become an elder if they are above 90 moons if you choose (unless your character is forced to retire due to injuries; however, you must discuss this with your leader and admin as we do not want too many characters retiring early due to failing eyesight, loss of hearing, etc.). Your character must become an elder at 110 moons unless they are in a higher rank such as leader or medicine cat.
Leader: Once chosen as leader, your character must travel to the communion spot of StarClan within one real life day to receive their nine lives. Your character must also choose a new deputy within one real life day.
Character Rules
1. This is a realistic RP community. There will be no neon cats or unrealistic colors or markings. If you are told to change your cat's appearance by a leader, deputy, mod, or admin, please do so.
2. Please have realistic eyes. This means no pink eyes, swirly eyes, etc.
3. Do not have a lion mane on your character. No matter how fluffy your cat may be, they are unrealistic. Half-manes are perfectly fine.
4. No lion tails. Your character is a cat, not a lion.
5. You may only have one cat with a deformity or disability, and it is required for you to act out this deformity or disability realistically. For example, this means that a blind cat cannot become a warrior. There is a limit of three deformed or disabled cats to a Clan. Please ask staff before having a deformed or disabled cat!
6. Your character may not be a wild hybrid, such as a Savannah cat. They are not present in the original novels, and would not be allowed beyond their owner's yards without supervision.
7. Please have realistic names. Your character may not have an unrealistic name (Pillarclaw, Deathfang, etc.) They must have a name that a feral cat would know, or if that thing is found in the wild. If a leader, admin, deputy, or mod tells you to change it, please do.
8. Please ask your clan leader and deputy if it is okay to have an evil character in the clan, as we do not want any major, unneeded drama.
9. There are strictly no powers allowed.
10. Reincarnations are strictly for special purposes and rare. Therefore, in order for your cat to reincarnate, you must complete and submit an audition privately to the Admins. We will open auditions to do so after some time into the RP.
11. Warriors must be at MINIMUM default height to the max. Apprentices and kits must be at MAXIMUM default height.
Leader, Admin, and Deputy Rules
1. Leaders, deputies, and admins are allowed to be in other RPs, but we do not recommend making another RP your priority instead of Serendipity.
2. Admins, leaders, deputies, and global mods are NOT allowed to abuse their powers. If they are, report it to any admin or global moderator that you trust!
3. If you're a leader, deputy, or admin and you are inactive for more than five days without a notice, you will be replaced. No questioned asked. This RP needs to continue to be active. (Informational)
4. If you're an admin, you MUST be active! There is no reason that you should be leaving SotV to suffer because you want to go to some other RP. If you applied for the position, take responsibility for it!
5. If you are a leader or deputy, an admin or leader has the right to replace you if you are inactive for an extended period of time without a reasonable reason. If you are going to be inactive for a while but you tell the admin in time, you will get replaced until you get back with a temporary leader/deputy.
